I know from my visits to the USA (specially The Mid-West)the folks there have only just got used to not having segregated schooling..So they must have been spitting chips when they saw this.Good..is what I say.
Ignorance is no excuse..I know I'll probably get hate mail for saying this..but why does this Country of immigrants have such a problem with other (alternative) lifestyles/religions?
A large part of my family live and work in America, mainly in CHICAGO and NEW YORK.On my frequent trips to visit esp. CHICAGO you only need to drive 80 miles out of Chi-town and the towns are full of Hank Hills and Boomheiner(King of the hill)with all the prejudices you can handle !!Oh well..

  Greatest ever JAMC Moment

This section is going to be for fans to include a little nugget of MaryChain history:Try and make it as personal as possible.O.K.?
This month I'll kick off with one of mine...

Meeting the Chain in 87 at a small club in central London.Although both were quite the worse for wear I found them absolutely charming (Not at all starry)and they have a fantastic buzz around them.People notice them,but they were never 'self-conscious'They moaned about not getting the support they thought they deserved from the U.S.Distributors,they were very realistic about their futures.
Who'd have thought that they would carry on making brilliant music for another decade after I met them !!
I hope Chainers will use this page as a forum for KEEPING THE DREAM ALIVE..
